This year we are serving a Christmas menu in the old timber house by Grótta.
Gravlax bruschetta
with homemade mustard dressing, radishes and capers.

with mushrooms and our Christmas jam.
Confit duck leg
with gratin potatoes, glazed carrots and a demi-glace.
Christmas tiramisu
a Baileys and gingerbread version of our tiramisu.
We are open every day except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. On 23 December we are open until 23:00.
Ráðagerði is an old timber house, built before 1900, amid the natural beauty of Grótta in Seltjarnarnes. Coming here feels like a trip to the countryside, far from the bustle of the city, yet it is only a seven-minute drive from downtown Reykjavík.
The view is remarkable in every direction: Mount Esja, the volcanoes of the Reykjanes Peninsula, Snæfellsjökull glacier and Grótta lighthouse. In winter, light pollution is low, and when the northern lights appear you can enjoy them right after dinner.
